How to Identify Key Navigation Features
This knowledge article focuses on navigational features located in the top left section of the CRM view/ page.
Legend:
1. Click to change app: Shows the current app name. There is no need to change the app
name as it should always default to Dynamics 365 CRM. If an app other than Dynamics
365 CRM is shown here, then contact the Data Services Team to report this issue
2. Navigate to other applications: Opens a new browser tab that goes to the Office 365
application selection page. This is a generic functionality not essential to the normal
operation of CRM.
3. Site Map: Select this to collapse the left navigation bar to allow more room for the main
part of the page. If the left navigation bar is already collapsed, select this button to
restore the left navigation bar again.
4. Home: Select this to go to the default home page set (eg, the Worker Dashboard or any
other selected area and view combination).
5. Recent: Expand this to view a list of pages that were used recently. Once the list is
expanded, select a page to open it. Also, select the push-pin icon next to a listed page to
add it to the list of pinned pages.
6. Pinned: Expand this entry to view and open favourite pinned pages. Use the Recent list
above to add pages here. Select the remove-pin icon next to a page listed here to
remove it from this list.
7. Page navigation: This area lists tables and dashboards available for the current area.
Select any entry here to open the named dashboard or list view for that table.
